The Dan Collective |
The Dan Collective are a fivepiece band playing their original interpretations of the music of Steely Dan, who for some people remain the most influential jazz rock fusion outfit of the past 30 years. The fact that Walter Becker and Donald Fagan have been able to draw on the musical creativity of such stellar jazz artists as Wayne Shorter, Michael Breaker, Larry Carlton, Peter Erskine, Victor Feldman, Chris Potter, Bob Shephard amongst others demonstrates the powerful influence of contemporary jazz in their body of work. Led by the excellent piano and vocals of Chris Watt, The Dan Collective are seeking to bring this original sound to Jazz festivals everywhere, and believe the work of Becker and Fagan deserves to be an important addition to any quality Jazz festival programme. Visit The Dan Collective's MySpace at myspace/thedancollective, where you can watch their promotional video and listen to their music samples to find out more of what this professional oufit can offer your festival programme.
