Ian Hill BA, MA, MSc, CQSW, is an independent Trainer, Consultant and Dispute Resolution practitioner with a strong reputation for first class people skills. “I focus on talking to clients and customers about how to make lasting improvements in their life, business or relationships and support them to reach their full potential.” Ian has worked independently since 1991 and has vast experience of delivering face to face and group events to hundreds of people over this time. He is currently an Associate with the National Probation Service West Midlands Consortium, and is also an Associate with the UK leader in workplace Mediation Training and Consultancy, CMP Resolutions with whom he trained and worked as a Mediator since 1998. Ian also works as a National Family Mediation approved Family Mediator. Ian is also a member of the Chartered Management Institute

Ian studied at the University of East Anglia and University of Oxford before beginning work as a Probation Officer in Hackney, London in 1983. He later worked as a local Authority Senior Social Worker with both Hammersmith and Fulham and Liverpool Social Services before setting up his own consultancy business in 1990. Ian has provided mediation services in workplace, family and community settings since 1998. He appreciates that conflict in the workplace is often a `fact of life` and if not managed effectively can undermine staff performance and damage relationships. He seeks to provide an environment which is safe, private and allows feelings and issues to be fully explored and lasting resolutions to take place.

“At the core of my approach to mediation is to bring parties together to explore the issues in dispute,to end any conflict and find mutually beneficial ways to move forward. I work on building trust and rapport with the parties and to persuade them that change, even in the unhappiest of situations, can happen.“
